Great City Games

For the first time in the history of the North Great City Games Stockton played host to the packed athletics event with sprints, pole vaults, long jump and hurdles.  Thousands gathered on the widest High street in England to watch world class athletes compete but the star of the event was Teesside Tornado Richard Kilty, who claimed victory at the 100m with a time of 10.57 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than Sam Osewa and Sam Miller, who both clocked 10.80. Kilty managed to squeeze 3rd in the 150m race behind Aikines-Aryeetey in second and Mitchell-Blake who took the win with 15.43 seconds.

Not only did Kilty compete in the days events, he was a key part of a programme leading up to the days events which resulted in 70 local athletes being involved in the Great North Tees 10k, Junior and Mini runs. The ambassadors kitted out in custom designed Presca sustainabile Running T-shirts and Vests (as seen in the photos) have done a fantastic job of promoting the event and have been seen out and about at local parkruns, duathlons, local fun runs.

If you spot yourself/friends/family in the photos please feel free to share, please tag @prescateamwear if you share on social media.
